Build the skills that an open cockpit reveals.

Open-wheel cars respond directly to braking, steering and throttle inputs. With less mass and no road-car bodywork around the wheels, they give drivers immediate feedback and reward smooth, deliberate technique.

Area 27 introduced two Open Wheel Academy formats in 2026: a 2.5-day Young Guns program for drivers aged 13 to 25, and a one-day Masters program for advanced Area 27 drivers who had already completed a 2.5-day course.

Young Guns Open Wheel Academy

Designed for the next generation of drivers, Young Guns is an immersive introduction to open-wheel performance with time to build confidence, technique and track awareness in a purpose-built formula car.

A coaching-led day for advanced Area 27 drivers ready to refine racecraft, identify limiting habits and extract more performance from a purpose-built formula car.
