Area 27 offers members an in-house racing program for enthusiasts who want a competitive and constructive environment. The series place driver development, car setup and clean competition alongside the friendships that grow through a season of racing.
Area 27 club racing is sanctioned by ORRA 27 and supported by Pirelli. Classes are structured around distinct types of race car, from accessible GT27 competition through GT54, Radical SR3 and visiting RS1 events.

Accessible, Equalized Competition
GT27 Series
The Area 27 GT27 Championship was conceived as a cost-effective entry point to motorsport. Its rules are designed to support close competition, a high level of driver safety and the development of race craft without making spending power the deciding factor.
Drivers are encouraged to understand the setup and behaviour of their cars. A proven equalization formula allows different vehicles and manufacturers to race competitively together, creating championships that are regularly decided late in the season.
The Fastest Full-Bodied Cars
GT54 Series
GT54 brings together two divisions of the fastest full-bodied race cars at Area 27. GT54E is for paddle or sequential-shift cars and permits carbon-ceramic brakes. GT54M is for cars with conventional transmissions and steel brake rotors.
Both divisions run racing slicks and require a high standard of onboard safety equipment. Eligible cars can include Porsche Cup and Ferrari Challenge machinery, Lamborghini Trofeo cars, TA2 cars, NASCAR road racers, Dodge Viper ACR-X models, Panoz racers and other approved vehicles.
Every entry must comply with Area 27's sound policy. Driver and vehicle eligibility should be confirmed with Area 27 or an ORRA 27 official before purchasing a race car.
Prototype Racing
Radical SR3 Championship
The Radical SR3 was a natural fit for Area 27 after establishing itself at other motorsport country clubs as a leading spec race car. SR3 competitors use Suzuki Hayabusa engines, identical suspension specifications, a control tire and a minimum post-session weight.
That common formula keeps the racing fast and close. Area 27's flowing circuit allows the cars to show their potential, and fields can bring substantial grids to the green flag on race weekends.
Guest Racing Series
RS1 Series
The RS1 Challenge and RS1 Cup make guest appearances at Area 27 as part of a wider North American schedule. The format puts drivers into a purposeful race car that rewards judgement and skill rather than computer assistance.
An Arrive + Drive program can prepare, tune and fuel the car so the driver can concentrate on racing. The RS1 combines a 450-horsepower V8, four-speed gearbox and racing slicks in a package designed to be fast, safe and engaging.

Racing Under ORRA 27
ORRA 27 is the governing body of motorsport for the South Okanagan and Osoyoos First Nation territories. Licence, driver and vehicle requirements vary by series, so competitors should review the current regulations and confirm eligibility before entering an event.

Who can take part in Area 27 club racing?

Do I need an ORRA 27 race licence?
