About Area 27
Area 27 is a private motorsports club and destination in Oliver, British Columbia, built around a 4.83 km road circuit designed by 1997 Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve. The wider property brings together the circuit, clubhouse, paddock, public driving experiences, off-road terrain and event spaces.
Discover how Area 27 began, why this South Okanagan site was chosen and how the original vision became one of Canada's most distinctive motorsports destinations.
Main Circuit
The Area 27 road course was designed by 1997 Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve and shaped around the natural South Okanagan terrain. The result is a flowing 4.83 km circuit with meaningful elevation, technical corner sequences and room for drivers to keep learning lap after lap.
The circuit is built for more than raw speed. Long straights give drivers time to process the previous corner, while complex transitions reward precision, patience and vehicle placement.
Full Property
Area 27 sits on a 227-acre site near Oliver, British Columbia. The property combines the road circuit, clubhouse, member and guest services, paddock, Kartplex, Rally Kart, off-road driving areas and event infrastructure into one motorsport property.
That mix matters for guests and event planners. A single visit can involve track driving, classroom instruction, hospitality, off-road programming, karting, Arrive + Drive public experiences or corporate activations without leaving the property.
Clubhouse
The clubhouse gives the facility its member-focused character. It brings together dining, member services, hospitality, classrooms, lockers and operational support for track days, member activity and private events.
The clubhouse includes a 3,500-square-foot dining room and bar, members' locker rooms, a classroom fitted with 4K monitors and audio equipment, a drivers' pro shop and a 2,500-square-foot outdoor patio. On-site fuel service supports eligible vehicles; EV charging is not currently available on site.
Dining, bar service and a terrace environment for members, guests and private programs.
Classroom, monitors, audio equipment and instructional space for briefings and debriefs.
Locker rooms, pro shop access and practical support for scheduled member track activity.
Paddock & Flow
The five-acre paddock provides one coordinated area for vehicle unloading, preparation, staging and parking during track days, rentals and approved events.
The five-acre paddock gives organizers room for vehicle staging, brand displays, driver support, guest hosting and route control around the clubhouse and circuit access points.
Leave The Pavement
Area 27's off-road programming expands the property beyond pavement. The Birds of Prey Off-Road Circuit is used for ZR2 Academy experiences and is designed around controlled natural and constructed challenges rather than a single flat loop.
The off-road circuit includes varied obstacles and surfaces including concrete block climb, gravel and sand pit, river/valley bed crawl, large rock crossing, bridge crossing, tire climb and tree-wall features.
Rally Kart & Kartplex
Rally Kart adds a dirt-based driving experience designed for controlled slides, tight transitions and approachable sideways fun. It gives visitors another public way to experience vehicle control on the property without stepping directly onto the main circuit.
Kartplex brings Arrive + Drive Racing to the Area 27 property with multiple track configurations suited to first-time drivers, families, groups, league racers and experienced kart drivers. The kart circuit is 0.75 mi / 1.21 km with 20 corners.
